Two children and a 21-year-old woman were injured while on a fairground ride in Rotherham on Thursday evening. Emergency services were called to Maltby Crags Fair after the two youngsters, aged 11 and 13, and the woman were hurt.
Hospital treatment and road closure
All three were taken to hospital for treatment following the incident, South Yorkshire Police confirmed. The fairground was subsequently closed for the evening as emergency services attended the scene.
Blyth Lane was also temporarily shut between Muglet Lane and Victoria Road to allow people to safely leave the fairground. The road has since reopened.
