A two-year-old boy fell from a multi-storey building in New York on Thursday afternoon, sustaining minor injuries, and remains in hospital awaiting further X-rays.

Incident in Forest Hills

Police responded to a 911 call at the building at 102-10 Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills, Queens, just before 2.30pm. Officers found the unidentified boy on the ground with minor injuries.

A police source told The New York Post that no criminal activity is suspected. However, WABC Eyewitness News reported that there were no window guards at the flat, and police are conducting investigations.

Scene and Previous Incident

Pictures taken by a bystander at the scene show blood stains on the pavement where the toddler landed.

This incident occurred two days after an eight-month-old girl survived a fall from a 15-storey building in the Bronx, an incident that tragically claimed her mother's life. Nathaly Ramirez, 23, was allegedly pushed over the balcony in the early morning of Tuesday, October 6. The baby remains in hospital in critical condition, while Ramirez did not survive. Angel Carrasco, 31, was arrested on Wednesday evening on several charges, including murder. A neighbour told NBC News she heard Ramirez screaming moments before seeing something hit the ground.
