Manchester United boss Michael Carrick has a number of injury concerns heading into the clash with Leeds this weekend, with a total of 10 players potentially missing the match. Seven of those players are in United colours, and in some areas Carrick's hands already look tied.
Carrick awaits news on Shaw and Mainoo
Carrick will anxiously await whether Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo are available for the trip to Elland Road. Diogo Dalot was forced to deputise at left-back against Atletico Madrid, while Ayden Heaven provided cover on the opposite flank.
Noussair Mazraoui could provide some depth in that position as he nears his return to action, with Patrick Dorgu still out for a number of weeks. The Morocco international could be with the group this weekend, though his involvement is far from certain.
Striker absent and long-term absentees
United will be without an out-and-out striker for another week, with Benjamin Sesko unavailable to take on Leeds. A timeline for his return will soon emerge.
Carrick is also without long-term absentees Manuel Ugarte and Tom Heaton.
Leeds concerns
Daniel Farke, meanwhile, has fewer concerns. The Leeds boss does face an anxious wait over ex-Manchester United star Dan James, however.
Leeds will be without defender Joe Rodon, who is now entering the latter stages of his recovery, having initially been ruled out for 10 weeks. Mateo Joseph remains out as he recovers from his ACL injury.
