A 19-year-old who died in a motorbike crash was a "beautiful young soul," his family has said. Harry Douglas, from Liverpool, suffered fatal injuries when his Lexmoto bike was involved in a collision on the East Lancashire Road in St Helens on Sunday, September 6.
Emergency services attended the scene, and he was taken to hospital with multiple injuries but died later. Merseyside Police confirmed the death on Thursday, September 10, as his family described his "one-of-a-kind personality."
Family pays tribute to 'kind hearted lad'
In a tribute, his family said: "Harry was such a kind hearted lad, devoted to his mum, sister and partner. Everything he did in life was for their benefit. He was truly the best, most generous big brother, son and partner. He shown compassion and care to everyone that he met.
"Harry was a beautiful young soul who loved hard and during his 19 short years blessed everybody around him with his one-of-a-kind personality."
Organ donation wish to help others
The family also revealed that Harry's organs would be donated. They said: "Harry understood the importance of organ donation, something he had spoken about with his family previously. His wish to help others will save and improve the lives of people he never met, a perfect example of Harry's personality."
Merseyside Police said in a statement: "We can sadly confirm that a man has died following a collision on the East Lancashire Road, in St Helens, on Sunday 6 September.
"Just before 9pm we received a report of a collision involving a Lexmoto motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with multiple injuries.
"Harry Douglas, 19, from Liverpool, tragically died on Thursday 10 September. Our condolences and thoughts are with Harry's family and friends."
