Marine Drive in Southport was closed for more than seven hours following a crash. Emergency services were called to the scene between Hesketh Road and Marshside Road after a car was reported to have left the road.
No injuries reported
Merseyside Police confirmed that no injuries were recorded. The force incident manager told the ECHO that officers were waiting for specialist recoverers to retrieve the car.
Road remains closed
The force was notified shortly after 2.30am today, Saturday, and the road remains closed to traffic.
