Woman Crushed Between Cars in London Road Rage Incident

A woman in her 40s suffered potentially life-changing injuries after being crushed between two cars in a suspected road rage attack near Hyde Park Corner in central London on Sunday night.

Police are investigating claims that a Land Rover was deliberately driven at the woman, trapping her against a Mercedes. The incident occurred at the junction of Grosvenor Place at around 20:15 BST.

A 23-year-old man was Tasered and arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray. He has since been further arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and driving while disqualified.

Tourist Deepak Anand, 40, from Vancouver, Canada, witnessed the incident from a bus and filmed the aftermath. He reported seeing a man trying to pull the driver from the Land Rover before it accelerated into oncoming traffic, pinning the woman between the two vehicles.

The Mercedes also struck a stationary bus, but no passengers were injured. Police confirmed the woman had exited her car and became involved in a dispute before being struck as the other vehicle attempted to drive away.

The woman was taken to a central London hospital. A second man who complained of feeling unwell was also taken to hospital and later discharged.
