Sisters Attack Chicken Shop Worker Over Wrong Order in Detroit
Sisters Attack Worker Over Wrong Order in Detroit

Two sisters, one of whom was pregnant, have been accused of stabbing a worker at a chicken restaurant in Detroit, Michigan, after receiving the wrong order.

Details of the Incident

Prosecutors allege that Brianna Long, 29, and her sister Kierianna Long, 26, chased the 23-year-old employee through the eatery on May 30. The sisters reportedly ran behind the counter, hitting the worker with pots and pans, attempting to throw hot cooking oil at her head, and threatening to kill her.

According to local media outlet WDIV, one of the sisters shouted, "I'm going to kill you," during the alleged attack. Prosecutors claim Kierianna then stabbed the worker in the stomach.

The victim fled the restaurant and hid inside a stranger's vehicle while calling for help, Fox News reports. She was subsequently taken to a hospital and underwent surgery.

Legal Proceedings

Brianna and Kierianna Long have both pleaded not guilty to charges including assault with intent to murder, intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Defense attorneys argued that the worker provoked the assault by saying she didn't "give a f***" about the order error. They also allege the employee threw knives at the sisters.

Local reports indicate that Brianna Long was nine months pregnant at the time of the incident and gave birth four days before her first court appearance. She reportedly pleaded her innocence to the judge, mentioning she had a four-day-old baby at home.

Brianna and Kierianna Long are being held on cash bonds of $25,000 and $100,000, respectively, meaning they must pay these amounts to secure their release from jail while awaiting trial.
