Shaun Kellett, 38, of Cross Street, Preston, has been banned from all Tesco, Home Bargains and Boots stores in Lancashire for three years, a court has ruled.
Kellett appeared before Blackburn Magistrates following a series of incidents involving theft at shops across Preston, Lancs Live reports.
Three-year Criminal Behaviour Order
A three-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) has now been granted, banning Kellett from entering any Home Bargains, Boots or Tesco store in Lancashire.
The order was sought by Preston City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team in partnership with local retailers as part of Operation Vulture.
Police statement and consequences
Police said the CBO is aimed at tackling persistent offending and protecting shop workers, customers and businesses.
Kellett must now stay away from every Tesco, Home Bargains and Boots store across Lancashire for the next three years.
Failing to comply with the terms of the order is a criminal offence and could result in his arrest and further court action.
