Ricky Hatton's Car Torched in Targeted Attack, Son Says

Campbell Hatton, the 25-year-old son of tragic boxing world champion Ricky Hatton, has expressed his heartbreak after yobs torched his father's old car in a targeted attack. The incident occurred nine months after Ricky Hatton's death at age 46.

Arson Attack Details

Campbell posted CCTV footage showing two unknown individuals throwing petrol over his late father's silver Ford Kuga before setting it ablaze. The fire also damaged Campbell's home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, shattering a window. Campbell, a former professional boxer, said he was left 'shocked' and 'upset' by the attack, which police believe was targeted.

A neighbour alerted Campbell, who was in bed with his partner, just before midnight on Monday. The fire also fractured a gas main, requiring fire crews and police to call Cadent engineers to prevent a larger disaster.

Campbell's Emotional Response

In a social media post, Campbell wrote: 'At around 11.40pm my dad's car got set on fire outside my house. CCTV of two lads look like they came through the valley in Hattersley to do it so anyone with any info or cameras that might have caught anything let me know. Absolutely gutted - the car was one of the only things I've got that was my dad's and a lot of sentimental stuff ruined. Need to get to the bottom of it I have a seven-year-old daughter who stays here.'

Campbell also offered a '£££ reward if anyone does know who it was and tells me' following the arson attack.
