Greater Manchester Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with after a knife threat on a bus. The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, when two men became involved in an altercation on a bus heading to Manchester city centre.
Bus fight spills onto street
Both men got off the bus and continued fighting on Princess Parkway, near the junction with Moss Lane East in Moss Side. During the altercation, one man pulled a knife from his bag and pointed it at the other man's face. Police have confirmed there are no reports of any injuries.
In a statement, police said: “Officers are appealing for information following threats made with a knife on a bus into the city centre on Tuesday 14 July 2026. At around 11.30am, two unknown men have had an altercation on the bus, during which they have both got off and continued to fight on Princess Parkway near Moss Lane East junction. During the altercation one of the men pulls a knife from his bag and points it towards the face of the other man. Officers would like to speak to the man people pictured as they believe they may be able to help with enquiries.”
