John Wooler, 76, has admitted causing the death of 54-year-old Chris Davies by careless driving following a collision in Trafford.
Wooler, of Penrith Close in Partington, pleaded guilty during a short hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court on September 1. Judge Jason MacAdam imposed an interim driving ban, and Wooler was released on bail ahead of his sentencing hearing on October 1.

Greater Manchester Police previously said that Mr Davies died at the scene of the collision in Partington at around 9.30am on May 14 last year. Mr Davies was riding a motorbike on Warburton Lane in Partington. Officers said the collision involved a Peugeot 107 on Moss Lane.
Mr Davies was described as a 'deeply-loved husband, father and grandad'.
Family tribute
Following his death, Mr Davies' family released a statement, saying: "A deeply loved husband, father and grandad was tragically taken from us on the 14 May 2025 and our lives will never be the same without him. Chris was a huge and influential part of our lives.
"He loved his family dearly and idolised his grandchildren and we are devastated that he has been taken from us so young and in such tragic circumstances.
"He was a kind and thoughtful man who was always there to support and better the lives of his family, and who would help anybody. He did many amazing things in his life and would be proud to look back on the impact he made with everyone he met, just as we are so very proud of him.
"His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed forever, and our lives will never be the same without him. We have been left with broken hearts but lots of precious memories that we will cherish."
