One dead and two injured in west London stabbing

A person has died and two others have been taken to hospital after a stabbing in west London.

Incident on Askew Road

Emergency services were called to Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush at 8.22am on Tuesday, with ambulance crews arriving at the scene in less than five minutes.

Three people were treated by paramedics, with two taken to hospital and another pronounced dead at the scene, reports MyLondon. The conditions of those injured are not yet known.

Police response

Officers and London's Air Ambulance were also sent to the area, where a large cordon was put in place. A forensics tent was also later seen at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for further details, including whether any arrests have been made.

Ambulance service statement

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.22am today to reports of a stabbing on Askew Road, W12.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance. Our first crews arrived in less than five minutes.

“We treated three people in total. We took two patients to hospital but sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a patient was pronounced dead at the scene.”
