A completely naked woman walked into a Target store in Milford, Massachusetts, on July 7, 2026, prompting staff to call the police. The woman, later identified as Elizabeth McCusker, 36, of Franklin, entered the store without any clothes and appeared intoxicated, according to the Milford Police Department.
Police Response and Discovery
Employees at the Target located at 250 Fortune Boulevard contacted emergency services at approximately 7:25 PM. During the call, a worker reported that the woman had put some clothes back on and left the store barefoot, with blood visible on her clothing. Officers arrived and began searching the area.
Police located a red Subaru Forester in the nearby vacant Best Buy parking lot occupied by a male driver and two female passengers. One of the passengers matched the description of the nude shopper. The occupants were identified as Benjamin Mahler, 50, of Uxbridge; Elizabeth McCusker; and Alisha Chmiel, 32, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
Drug Possession Charges
During the interaction, officers discovered that the vehicle and its occupants possessed crack cocaine and fentanyl. All three were arrested. Alisha Chmiel was charged with possession of a Class A Substance (Fentanyl), Obstruction of Justice, and had five active warrants for arrest. Benjamin Mahler was charged with possession of a Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine). Elizabeth McCusker was charged with possession of a Class A Substance (Fentanyl) and Disturbing the Peace.
According to a statement from the Milford Police Department, the employee reported the woman as intoxicated and nude inside the store. The statement added, "During the call, the employee stated the female had put her clothes back on and exited the store on foot, with blood visible on her clothing."
