Motorcyclist, 29, killed in crash with car in Warrington

A 29-year-old motorcyclist from Merseyside has died following a crash with a car in Warrington.

Emergency services were called to Greenwood Crescent in Warrington after reports of a collision. Cheshire Police officers and paramedics found a brown Benelli BKX 125 motorbike and a grey Kia XCeed had been involved in a crash.

The rider of the motorbike suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and specialist officers are supporting them.

Investigation underway

Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are appealing for anyone with information that may assist the investigation to come forward.

T/Sergeant Rimmer, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are committed to doing all we can to establish exactly what took place."

"Greenwood Crescent is a busy residential road and as part of our investigation, we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with any video footage of the incident."

Appeal for footage

Officers are also asking for any video footage of the vehicles involved prior to the collision, and residents are being asked to check their doorbell cameras for relevant footage.
