Mother Bites Partner and Hits Him with Frying Pan in Court

Julia Gavrilova, a 35-year-old mother-of-two, has appeared in court to admit attacking her partner by hitting him on the head with a frying pan. She also admitted biting her partner on the lip during the incident.

Details of the Assault

Gavrilova admitted using the kitchen utensil to assault and injure Daniel McRitchie on August 3. The attack took place in Davie Park Place, Rattray, Perthshire. She has a previous conviction for a domestic assault on the same victim.

Court Proceedings

Perth Sheriff Court heard the case. Solicitor Billy Somerville, defending, said: 'Her previous convictions are admitted. You will note the last one was a similar domestic matter.' He added: 'She lives with her two children and the youngest one is only a few months old. It seems she has suffered from post-natal depression and is now receiving assistance from her doctor. The complainer does have his own address, but he still assists with the youngest child.'

Sentence Deferred

Sentence was deferred for the preparation of social work background reports. Sheriff Alison McKay postponed the case and said she would consider whether to impose a non-harassment order after hearing Mr McRitchie's views on the case. Gavrilova was ordained to appear for sentence.
