Metro Suspended in Sunderland: Police Incident Hits Five Stations

The Tyne and Wear Metro service in Sunderland has been suspended due to a police incident, affecting five stations between Park Lane and South Hylton. Nexus, the operator, confirmed that no trains are stopping at these stations in either direction.

Disruption Details

Stagecoach buses are accepting Metro tickets as an alternative mode of transport on specific services in the impacted area. Nexus added that trains are running to all other stations but may not follow the usual timetable.
