Multiple people were stabbed at a discount supermarket in Incheon, South Korea, prompting a large emergency services response. Police arrested the suspected attacker at the scene.
Attack at Homeplus Guwol branch
At approximately 1:49pm local time (5:49am BST) today, an emergency report was filed stating that a stabbing had taken place at the Homeplus Guwol branch in Namdong-gu, Incheon.
Police rushed to the scene and arrested a man, referred to as A, who allegedly carried out the stabbing.
Casualty estimates
Police estimate that 6 to 8 Homeplus customers were injured in the attack. However, the exact number of casualties has not yet been confirmed.
