A manhunt is underway for a bike-riding thief who violently snatched jewellery from around a woman's neck in a brazen attack in a Leeds park. The victim was enjoying the afternoon sunshine on a bench when the suspect approached and pulled the jewellery from her neck before fleeing the scene.

Attack in Hunslet Park

The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 pm on Wednesday, June 10, in the park on Burton Row in Hunslet, Leeds. The woman had been sitting peacefully when the man suddenly approached and, to her shock, grabbed the jewellery and escaped.

Police Appeal for Information

West Yorkshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify. They believe he may have information that could assist their investigation. The force is urging anyone who recognizes the man or has details about the incident to come forward.

Detectives from the Leeds District Crime Team are leading the inquiry. They have named the operation Operation Beadpark, reference number 13260329036.
