A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital after being attacked on a street in Glasgow. Emergency crews were called to Allison Street in the Govanhill area at around 8am on Sunday, August 30.
Victim taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
The man was found injured and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. No information has been released on the extent of his injuries.
Police Scotland has confirmed that enquiries into the attack are ongoing. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident at this stage.
Police cordon in place
Images shared with Glasgow Live show the front door of a close taped off by police officers, with a uniformed officer standing guard outside. A police vehicle was also seen at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are being carried out in the Allison Street and Annette Street areas of Glasgow following a report made around 7.50am on Sunday, 30 August, 2026, of a man assaulted.
"A 41-year-old man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and enquiries are continuing to gather more information on the circumstances and trace those involved."
