Man Dies in Stockport Reservoir Water Tragedy

A man has died after getting into difficulty in water at a reservoir in a park in Stockport, police have confirmed.

Rescue Operation at Sykes Reservoir

Police and paramedics were called at around 8.30pm on Thursday evening to Sykes Reservoir in Alexandra Park in the Edgeley area of Stockport. A rescue operation was launched following reports of a man in difficulty in the water.

The man's body was later recovered from the reservoir, marking the latest heatwave water tragedy.

Water Safety Campaign
