Man dies in Port Talbot crash between two motorcyclists

A 40-year-old man from Bridgend has died following a crash between two motorcyclists in Port Talbot, police have confirmed.

South Wales Police were called to Harbour Way at around 2pm on Saturday, alongside paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service. One of the riders was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closed for 15 hours

The road was closed in both directions for around 15 hours between Dock Road and the junction of the A48. It reopened at around 6am on Sunday.

Police statement

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "South Wales Police was called at 2.15pm on Saturday, August 22 to a road traffic collision between two motorbikes on Harbour Drive, Port Talbot."

"One of the motorbike riders, a 40-year-old man from Bridgend, died at the scene. His family are being support by specially trained officers."
