A man has died and six people, including a baby, were rushed to hospital after a small boat capsized in the Channel off the coast of Hardelot, France.

The vessel, carrying migrants bound for the UK, overturned on Wednesday night. A fatality was confirmed, and six others required medical treatment. The ages and conditions of those hospitalised have not been disclosed.
