A man has died after falling from a bonfire in east Belfast in what has been described as a tragic accident. The victim has been named locally as Warren "AKA" Lyttle.
It is understood that Lyttle fell from the Braniel's Eleventh Night bonfire on Friday night. The incident occurred during the annual Eleventh Night celebrations, which traditionally involve large bonfires lit on the eve of the Twelfth of July.

In a joint statement, Braniel Bonfire Committee, Braniel Loyal Flute Band and Braniel Community Group expressed their grief. "It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our friend, Warren 'AKA' Lyttle, following last night's tragic accident at the Braniel Bonfire," the statement read.
"Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies are with Warren's family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him at this incredibly difficult time. As a community, we are heartbroken by this tragic loss and ask that everyone keeps his loved ones in their prayers in the days and weeks ahead."
