A man and a teenage boy are fighting for their lives after being shot on a residential street in Solihull in the early hours of Monday morning.

The double shooting occurred on Vauxhall Crescent at approximately 2:30 AM on June 15. Emergency services rushed both victims to hospital with gunshot wounds that are believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman said: "We are investigating after shots were fired in Vauxhall Crescent, Smith's Wood, this morning. We were called after a man and a teenage boy were injured just before 2:40 AM today. They were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds with their injuries initially believed to be life-threatening."
