Three family members found dead in suspected murder-suicide in Co Kerry

Three members of the same family have been found dead in a suspected murder-suicide at a property in Listowel, Co Kerry. Irish authorities confirmed that all three died from gunshot wounds.

Gardaí discovered the bodies on Tuesday evening after being called to the home. Inside the property, they found the body of a woman in her 60s and her son, who was in his 20s. The body of a man in his 60s was found outside the back of the building. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

A Garda spokesperson said they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths. The area has been cordoned off as investigations continue. Justice Minister Heather Humphreys expressed her condolences, stating: 'The shock and devastation being felt by the family and the community is unimaginable.' She added that Gardaí are engaging with the local community and will carry out a full investigation.
