Kremlin TV host demands UK factories burn, threatens MI6

Vladimir Solovyov, a leading Russian state broadcaster, has demanded British factories “must burn” and claimed Great Britain will be “wiped off the face of the earth”. In a recent televised broadcast shared by monitoring group Russian Media Monitor, Solovyov declared: “This is a holy war and we must win.”

He went on: “British factories must burn; [British] assets must be destroyed. Wherever NATO experts are working on German soil to plan the next operation, they must be destroyed. The satellite constellation – which provides targeting data and subsequent information on strike results – must be destroyed. There is no need to fear anyone. God is with us.”

Threats against France and UK leadership

Solovyov also targeted France, saying its “missiles and factories must be destroyed” alongside headquarters and deployment sites of French legionnaires. He linked these threats to continued Western military support for Kyiv, specifically naming Prime Minister Andy Burnham after the UK leader stated Britain would back Ukraine “100%”.

Solovyov claimed Russia faced “Satanists, who don’t even hide it,” adding this included “the current Prime Minister of Britain, who says he will press on.”

Earlier calls for strikes on UK factories

These remarks form part of a broader series of attacks on the UK. Earlier this week, on his radio show Full Contact, Solovyov asked: “The British are openly saying that these are their drones; then why are we yet to destroy factories in Britain?

“Because something will happen? What else has to happen? Will Britain use all of its might that it doesn’t have? England, why are we yet to carry out the strikes against the factories that produce the drones for the strikes against our territory?”

Previous threats against UK intelligence

Solovyov has previously called for direct strikes on UK intelligence facilities. In 2025, he claimed British security services coordinated attacks inside Russia, stating: “The blood of the British who authorise the killings on Russian territory must be spilled.”

He added that if factories and “the headquarters of the intelligence agencies that gave the go-ahead for the terrorist attacks” were hit, “they should not be surprised”.

Britain has supplied Ukraine with military hardware including Storm Shadow missiles and drones that Kyiv has deployed in long-range strikes against Russian targets. Moscow routinely portrays this assistance as direct participation in the conflict. Russia’s embassy in London has separately warned that deeper British involvement would carry “consequences for which it will have to answer.”

Solovyov, whose broadcasts reach large audiences on state channels, has a long record of such rhetoric. In earlier airings, he urged attacks on Storm Shadow manufacturing sites in Stevenage, described Britain as a “satanic island,” and floated nuclear options including the Poseidon underwater drone. These latest threats come amid ongoing Ukrainian deep strikes inside Russia and public commitments from London to maintain sustained military aid to Kyiv.
