Katie Price's husband, Lee Andrews, has allegedly been arrested again in Dubai, only weeks after being freed from Al Awir prison. The 43-year-old is reportedly trying to raise money to pay a £120,000 fine after being transported by police to Lahab police station in the Dubai desert on Friday.
Alleged Arrest and Fine
According to The Sun, Andrews told a friend: “They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a Go Fund Me.” An insider added: "Lee had been stressed out in the days leading up to his arrest as he needed to raise money he believed he owed."
Katie Price's Current Activities
Katie Price, 48, is currently in the UK promoting her Sky documentary. Last week, she appeared on This Morning, where she defended her wedding to Andrews, which took place in January just days after they met. Within months, Andrews vanished and claimed to have been kidnapped, but it later emerged he had been held in a jail cell.
Background and Allegations
Andrews, a self-proclaimed millionaire who has faced conman allegations, was released from prison in Dubai in June after being arrested on reported fraud charges. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing and allegations of being a conman. Since his release, he has been making personalised videos for fans through Cameo to raise money.
Last month, US businesswoman Crystal Janke alleged she gave £123,000 to invest in one of Andrews' schemes, only to be left with nothing. In June, it was alleged Andrews took £5,000 from a "desperate" woman in Dubai while promising to arrange a property investment visa for her. The woman claims Andrews assured her he had friends in the Dubai government who could arrange the visa "through the back door," but the visa never materialised, and she is still waiting for answers, according to The Sun.
Further Allegations and Legal Issues
Andrews' ex, Dina Taji, who was with him for three and a half years, previously accused him of taking out a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge shortly after they married—something he denies. She reportedly took legal action against Andrews, leading to him spending three weeks in a Dubai jail and being hit with a travel ban. Two of his other exes have branded him a "liar" and urged Price to never give him any money.
The Standard has tried to contact Andrews and Price for comment.
