At least 12 people have been killed and nine others wounded in a horrific mass shooting in Johannesburg, South Africa. The incident occurred at Jumpers Informal Settlement in Cleveland, east of Johannesburg, around 11:10 p.m. local time on Tuesday, according to police.
Details of the Attack
Police reported that the victims included eight men and three women who were pronounced dead at the scene, and another man who later died from his injuries in hospital. Officers arriving at the scene discovered multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to a police statement, more than 10 suspects were allegedly dropped off by a white Toyota Quantum near a petrol station in Cleveland. The suspects then entered the informal settlement through both entrances, moving through the area and opening fire on residents at multiple locations before fleeing in the same vehicle.

No arrests have been made yet, and police are actively hunting for the attackers. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and authorities are appealing for any information from the public.
