A horrific mass shooting in Johannesburg has left at least 12 people dead and nine others injured, according to South African police. The incident occurred at an informal settlement in Cleveland on Tuesday night, prompting a large-scale manhunt for the attackers.

Police reported that more than 10 suspects were dropped off by a white Toyota Quantum near a petrol station in Cleveland. The assailants then entered the settlement through both entrances, moving through the area and opening fire on residents and community members at multiple locations before fleeing in the same vehicle.
