A huge fire has ripped through a historic 150-year-old building in Keighley, West Yorkshire, which was used as a filming location for the TV shows Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey.
More than 12 fire crews are tackling the blaze at Dalton Mills, with dramatic photos showing colossal flames and thick black smoke pouring from the landmark structure. Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 8pm on Saturday night.
Historic textile mill
Built in 1869, Dalton Mills was once the largest textile mill in Yorkshire, employing more than 2,000 workers. In recent years, it has been used as a film set for hit television programmes, including Peaky Blinders.
This is the second time a major fire has struck the building, which was previously damaged by a blaze in 2022.
Emergency response
A large emergency service presence remains at the scene, according to West Yorkshire Police. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
