A horror crash in Melbourne has left two children dead and five others injured. The incident occurred shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, September 8, when a vehicle rolled with a woman and seven children inside.

Fatalities and injuries

A seven-year-old girl died at the scene. An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries and died overnight.

The other five children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for observation.

Emergency response and investigation

Ambulance helicopter crews, intensive care and advanced life paramedics remained at the scene throughout Tuesday afternoon.
