A fast food worker in Florida has been accused of exposing himself to a female customer while delivering her order. Artavian Crumity, 25, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure after he allegedly served up his penis on a tray alongside a burger she had ordered.
The woman said she was waiting in her car for her order when he walked up to her vehicle “while serving her food with his penis exposed through his zipper.” Court documents state Crumity was working as a carhop at a Steak 'n Shake in Largo, Florida, when she made the order. She was waiting for her burger and fries when the worker walked over and exposed himself “at her eye level.”
Police investigate and uncover CCTV footage
Police were called and investigated, uncovering damning CCTV footage showing the moment. An officer confirmed: “Video surveillance at the location displays the incident as stated by the victim.”
Crumity was arrested and put in prison before being released on bail. An arrest document said he “exposed or exhibited sexual organs in a public place or on the private premises of another or so near thereto as to be seen from such private premises, in a vulgar or indecent manner or to be naked in public except in any place provided or set apart for that purpose.”
Previous convictions and background
He is expected to face trial for the matter soon but already has a lengthy conviction list for crimes including convictions for prowling; child abuse; carrying a concealed firearm; reckless driving; probation violation; and auto theft. He was released from custody in March 2025 after serving more than two years behind bars in connection with several criminal cases.
In 2020, Steak 'n Shake, which has about 400 restaurants, revived its carhop service in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Just like in “Happy Days” and “American Graffiti,” carhops at select locations deliver grub on a tray that attached to a guest’s open car window.
