Two men who were found dead after being separately reported missing from their homes in Lancashire have been remembered by their families a month on from their tragic death.
The discovery
Stuart Tallis, 27, and William Hutchinson, 31, were separately reported missing from their homes in Preston in June. In a 'devastating tragedy', both men were found to have died in a crash last month near the A584.
Enquiries from police led officers to believe William and Stuart may have been together. As a result, shortly after noon on July 4, William's blue Peugeot 106 was found by specialist search officers. The car was hidden from view in thick undergrowth off the westbound carriageway of the A584 Preston New Road, close to its junction with the A583 Blackpool Road at Newton with Clifton. Sadly, the two men were found dead inside the vehicle.
Family tributes
Both families have now paid tribute to their loved ones. Stuart's family remembered his 'smile, laughter, and kind heart'. They said: "Stuart was more than a brother and son; he was our best friend. His smile, laughter, and kind heart could light up a room and make even the darkest days feel brighter. While our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in the beautiful memories we shared with him. We will cherish those memories forever and carry them with us every day. We love you, Stu, forever and always. You will never be forgotten. R.I.P. Son. You are always in my heart. Love forever, Mum."
William's family paid tribute to the 'lovable rogue' who was a 'much-loved son, devoted partner and proud father'. They said: "William was a much-loved son, devoted partner, proud father to two beautiful children whom he absolutely adored, and a cherished brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He was truly one of a kind a lovable rogue with a larger-than-life personality. He had the gift of the gab, could make friends wherever he went, and had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and warmth to those around him. Above all, William had a heart of gold. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved and would do anything for his family and friends. His kindness, humour and unique character touched so many lives, and his loss has left an immense void that can never be filled. We are all still struggling to come to terms with this devastating tragedy. The shock of losing William so suddenly has left family and friends heartbroken, and the grief we feel is beyond words. As a family, we would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support, kindness and messages of condolence we have received. Your thoughtful words, memories and gestures of support have brought great comfort during the most difficult time of our lives. William was truly one in a million, and he will be loved, remembered and missed forever."
