Dundee keeper interviewed by police after missile struck

Police Scotland interviewed Dundee goalkeeper Owen Goodman after he was struck by a missile during his side's derby victory over Dundee United at Tannadice.

Incident in the second half

The ugly incident occurred in the second half when Dundee were 1-0 up. Goodman was hit by an object thrown from behind the goal in the Eddie Thompson Stand. Referee David Dickinson picked up the object and flagged it up to the authorities.

Police spoke to the on-loan Crystal Palace player after the game.

Manager's reaction

Dundee boss Steven Pressley said: “I’ve just been made aware of that so I’m unsure. Whatever he was hit with, it didn't affect him.”

Goodman made a number of key stops to keep a clean sheet in the 2-0 win. The incident was witnessed on television and is likely to be reported by the Scottish Professional Football League delegate.
