A father in Ohio impersonated his 11-year-old daughter on TikTok to lure her alleged rapist to his home, where he shot him twice. Malik Chandler, 31, posed as his child to set up a meeting with Diego Montoya Gonzalez, 20, who had allegedly sexually assaulted the girl.
Shooting at Family Home
Gonzalez arrived at the family home in Grove City, Ohio, where Chandler shot him. Officers found Gonzalez sitting in a chair with two gunshot wounds; he was taken to hospital for treatment. The father had been shown evidence of the assault via a video on his daughter's phone, according to the New York Post.
Charges and Bond
Several clips allegedly showing young children being sexually abused were later found on Gonzalez's phone. He was charged with five counts of pandering sexually oriented material, two counts of rape, and one count of obstruction of official business. He was required to pay a $20,000 recognisance bond and a $50,000 cash bond pending trial. If released, he would be banned from contacting the victim and going online except for work.
Father's Account
Chandler told police he initially planned to beat Gonzalez and hold him for police but shot when he thought Gonzalez was reaching for a gun. He was charged with felony assault and given a $100,000 cash bond. Metro has contacted the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for comment.
