A crowd of people were told to “run for your life” after a man allegedly pulled a knife on a Glasgow street, before being battered by a man wielding a traffic cone.
Footage of the incident, streamed on social media at around 11pm on Thursday, shows a group of men brawling just yards from where crews are filming the new Batman movie in Glasgow, Scotland. The suspected knifeman is seen being confronted by a mob, with several men running and shouting after him.
Street fight turns physical
Things quickly turn physical, with the alleged knifeman being hit by punches and kicks before running away. He can then be seen being chased through the street, before he is wrestled to the ground and battered with the traffic calming marker.
During the struggle, one of the men involved can be heard urging members of the public to get away from the scene, warning that the man they are grappling with “has a knife”. A voice can be heard before ordering passers-by to “run for your life” and shouting: “He’s got a knife. He’s got a knife. Get out of the f***ing way,” The Scottish Sun reports.
Police investigating
The alleged knifeman can then be seen running away from the group once again, while several of the men throw more traffic cones in his direction. Another man can then be seen on camera pointing to what appears to be a bloodied shirt, as well as several wounds to the arms and the chest.
It is yet to be officially confirmed whether anybody was stabbed or how many people, if any, needed medical treatment following the incident. Police are investigating the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.10pm on Thursday, 27 August, 2026, officers received a report of a disturbance on Bridge Street, Glasgow. Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.”
The alleged knife attack is believed to have taken place on Glasgow's Bridge Street, just a stone's throw from where film crews have been shooting scenes for The Batman Part II, starring the likes of Robert Pattinson and Scarlett Johansson. The incident is not believed to have impacted filming for the movie.
