A car burst into flames at a set of traffic lights in West Lothian on Thursday morning. Firefighters responded to the incident on Armadale Cross, approximately 20 miles from Edinburgh.
Images from the scene show the vehicle engulfed in flames beside the traffic lights. The road has been taped off by police, and it is currently unknown whether there are any injuries. The cause of the blaze has not been confirmed.
Fire extinguished by emergency services
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the car has since been extinguished. One appliance was dispatched to the incident.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told Edinburgh Live: "We are in attendance at a car fire on Armadale Cross. One appliance is at the scene. We got the call at 11.53pm. The fire has since been extinguished."
