A three-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after falling from a window in Rochdale.
Emergency services were scrambled to Spotland Tops, in the Cutgate area of the town, shortly after 4:15pm this afternoon (Saturday, August 22). Police and paramedics both responded to the incident on the residential estate.
Air ambulance lands nearby
The air ambulance was spotted landing nearby. The Manchester Evening News understands a three-year-old boy fell from a window on the first-floor of a property.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said a child was taken to hospital, where he is currently in a critical condition.
Police statement
A force spokesperson said: "We were called today (22 August 2026) at around 4.16pm to reports for the concern of the welfare of a child on Spotland Tops, Rochdale.
"Emergency services attended and the child was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition."
