The bodies of two missing men have been discovered in a car that crashed off the A584 in Lancashire and became buried in thick undergrowth. Lancashire Police confirmed that William Hutchinson, 31, and Stuart Tallis, 27, were found in a blue Peugeot 106 on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Discovery by Specialist Search Officers
The vehicle was located by specialist search officers, hidden from view in dense vegetation off the westbound carriageway of the A584 Preston New Road, near its junction with the A583 Blackpool Road at Newton with Clifton. The men had been last seen separately in Preston on June 24, and police later believed they may have been together.
Investigation Underway
Lancashire Police have launched an investigation into the incident. A spokesperson stated: "Our thoughts are with the families of William and Stuart at this tragic time. We are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding their deaths." The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
