Emergency services have responded to a serious incident at the Big Church Festival in West Sussex, where multiple people have been injured. Paramedics and specialist teams were dispatched to the event site after reports of several people needing medical attention.
Incident at Wiston Park
South East Coast Ambulance Service was called to Wiston Park, Steyning, shortly after 15:30 on Friday, 28 August 2026. Ambulance crews, critical care paramedics, and specialist response teams are currently on the scene, with six patients confirmed so far.
The nature of the incident has not been immediately clarified. A reporter from Premier Christian News stated: "We've been told that the site is on lockdown, with people not allowed to get in or out."
