BA Cancels Flight After Crew’s Drinking Session at Resort

British Airways cancelled a flight from Barbados to London on Sunday after crew members reportedly engaged in a drinking session at an all-inclusive hotel bar hours before departure. The incident, which involved a “vodka and beer session”, led to the cancellation of flight BA254 from Bridgetown to London Heathrow, disrupting travel plans for up to 336 passengers.

Crew Members Suspended After Incident

According to the Press Association, several British Airways crew members have been suspended while an internal investigation is carried out. The Sun newspaper reported that one female cabin crew member vomited and a male colleague collapsed during the incident at an “all-inclusive, ocean-fronted retreat” popular with honeymooners. The newspaper did not name the hotel.

Passengers Filmed the Scene

Other guests at the resort filmed the crew members, with one reportedly saying: “We’re British Airways crew, what of it?” The flight was scheduled to depart at 4.25pm local time and arrive in London at 6.15am on Monday.
