Armed officers were called to an Asda car park in Farnworth, Bolton, on Friday night following reports of men fighting with weapons.
Greater Manchester Police said it attended the supermarket on Brackley Street just after 9.15pm on July 31, 2026, after receiving reports of a disturbance. Officers found that a group of men had been involved in a fight with weapons, prompting an armed response.
No arrests have been made and no injuries are believed to have been suffered. Police have said the incident is believed to be isolated with no wider threat to the community.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 9.15pm on Friday, July 31 2026, we were called to reports of an ongoing disturbance at a business property on Brackley Street in Farnworth, Bolton. Officers attended the scene and established that there had been a fight between a group of men involving weapons."
"Thankfully, no injuries have been reported to us, and it is believed to be an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
