A man has died following an incident near Chirk Aqueduct in North Wales, police have confirmed. Emergency services were called to the scene on Thursday morning (October 8) after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man.

A Wales Air Ambulance landed nearby, with police officers and paramedics also responding to the incident, according to North Wales Live. North Wales Police have since confirmed the man sadly died.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We received a report at 11.26 am yesterday, Thursday 8th October, concerning the safety of an individual in the Chirk area."

"Officers attended the scene, where a man sadly died," the spokesperson added. "The death is not being treated as suspicious and his family, and the Coroner has been informed."
