Two teenagers have been killed and a third is fighting for his life following a devastating crash involving a Tesla in Surrey. The collision, which saw the electric vehicle plough into a tree, occurred on Saturday night in the village of Hurst Green.
Arrest Made After Fatal Incident
Surrey Police confirmed they have arrested a 30-year-old man from Oxted. He was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The driver of the Tesla was also taken to hospital with serious injuries following the crash on Holland Road.
Officers were called to the scene shortly before 10pm on Saturday, 20 December 2025, after reports of a serious collision. Upon arrival, they discovered a white Tesla had left the road and collided with a tree with significant force.
Scene of Tragedy on Holland Road
Tragically, one man in his late teens died at the scene. A second teenager succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to hospital. The families of both young victims have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
A third teenager remains in hospital with what police describe as life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for several hours between the junctions with Popes Lane and Warren Lane while emergency services worked at the scene and investigators carried out crucial enquiries.
Police Launch Witness Appeal
Surrey Police have now launched a public appeal for information. They are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam, helmet cam, or CCTV footage, to come forward.
In an official statement, the force said: "We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to get in touch. We are also seeking CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident."
The investigation into the precise circumstances of the crash is ongoing. Police have asked the public to avoid the area while the road closure was in place.
