The family of a 12-year-old girl who died after being hit by a bus in North Ayrshire have paid tribute to their "ray of sunshine".
Sophia Aitken died after being struck by the vehicle on Lauchlan Way in Kilwinning at 1.10pm on Tuesday. The girl sadly died at the scene.
