A 41-year-old father has been named as Scott Beattie, who died after his Ford Transit van collided with a tree on the A614 in Nottinghamshire. The incident occurred at around 2:15pm on Friday, 23 January between Thoresby Roundabout and Clumber Park Hotel.
Mr Beattie, from Clipstone, was described by his family as a 'devoted and loving father' to his four children, a cherished son, brother, and a dear friend to many. They said he was 'loving, funny, and hardworking, with the biggest heart and endless generosity'.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. Detective Constable Liah Lane said: 'We would like to speak to anyone who saw this white van travelling south towards Ollerton in the moments before the collision.'
