Copperas Hill was sealed off between Lime Street and Seymour Street following the collision, which took place close to Skelhorne Street, near Liverpool Lime Street railway station.
The incident happened shortly before 4.40pm on Saturday, August 1. A man was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Traffic disruption
Police used cars to block the road, with one positioned near the Adelphi Hotel and another close to the Liverpool John Moores University campus. The closure caused heavy traffic on Seymour Street, where drivers found they could not turn towards the city centre. Tailbacks stretched across London Road.
