Two lanes are closed on the M62 motorway in Greater Manchester today (Tuesday, August 18) following a crash. The lanes are shut to traffic on the eastbound carriageway between Junction 11 and Junction 12 (Eccles Interchange).

Official Statement
A National Highways spokesperson said: "Lanes 1 and 2 (of 4) are closed on the M62 eastbound in Greater Manchester between J11 Risley and J12 M60 due to a traffic collision. Traffic Officers are on scene. Current delays of 45 minutes on the approach, with 4 miles of congestion."
Traffic Impact
Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "Two lanes closed and slow traffic due to accident on M62 Eastbound between J11 A574 Birchwood Way (Birchwood) and J12 M60 J12 (Eccles Interchange)."
