A major route near Cardiff city centre is partially shut after a collision on the A48 Western Avenue.
The road is closed from Ely roundabout towards Fairwater. The carriageway heading towards Ely roundabout is down to one lane, and traffic is building.
Police at the scene
Officers from South Wales Police are at the scene diverting traffic.
A spokesman for the force said: "We're at the scene of a collision on Western Avenue in Cardiff. The road is currently closed travelling from Ely roundabout towards Fairwater and carriageway heading towards Ely roundabout is down to one lane which is causing a build up of traffic. Officers are at scene diverting traffic. Please avoid the area and if possible use alternative routes. Thank you for your patience."
The incident is ongoing, and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
