A 77-year-old woman has died in a tragic road traffic collision in Bradford, after being struck by a lorry and her body carried for approximately three miles before being discovered, according to West Yorkshire Police.

The collision occurred on Harrogate Road, near Killinghall Road, at around 5:20 pm on Wednesday, April 15. Police were initially called to reports of a pedestrian involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle (HGV).
A short time later, officers received another call reporting the discovery of a woman's body on Neville Road. The 77-year-old victim was pronounced dead at that scene. Investigators believe the woman was hit by the lorry on Harrogate Road and then carried by the vehicle to Neville Road, a distance of about three miles.

West Yorkshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident. A spokesperson stated: "Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Bradford. Officers were called at around 5.20pm yesterday to reports that a pedestrian was in collision with an HGV on Harrogate Road towards Killinghall Road."
Following the discovery of the body, a 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries, as the investigation continues.
